[Plugins] How to connect Phrase (previously Memsource) with SYSTRAN

Introduction

This procedure explains how to connect and use SYSTRAN server with Phrase (previously Memsource) TMS. This is a step by step guide, to create a project, configure the connection of Phrase to SYSTRAN.

 

Procedure

Step 1 : Create a new project

Log in to your Phrase account and select to create a new project

Or else by clicking on the '+' button in projects' tab:

 

Step 2 : Name your project

Next give your project a name and choose the source and the target language and enter the Due date and Purchase order (if you have one).

Step 3 : Select MT service provider

Next in settings elaborate Machine Translation Engine 

Phrase will propose their default engine 'Phrase Translate (Beta)' by default. Click on change to switch to another MT provider.

When you click on change a new window will pop-up

Close this window, and now in yourMachine Translation Engine you will have the option to Manage your MT engines

 

Step 4 : Select SYSTRAN as MT provider

Next click on Manage your MT Engines and a new browser tab will open on the URL https://cloud.memsource.com/web/machineTranslateSettings/list 

Scroll down to bottom of the page to find Third-party Machine Translation Engines and select 'create' 

Once you click on 'Create' a new window will pop out, choose SYSTRAN(for V8) or SYSTRAN-PNMT (for SPNS9) depending on the version of your SYSTRAN server

 

Step 5 : Setup connection to SYSTRAN

Click on create and enter the details 

Fill up the above details : 

Name : Name which describes the connector

URL : URL of the SYSTRAN SPNS (https://<FQDN_SPNS>:8904) or SYSTRAN Translate PRO (https://api-translate.systran.net)

API Key : accessible from your "Personal info" menu, at the bottom of the page

 

Profile : This field is optional. If you want to call a specific engine, you will need to provide the corresponding Profile ID from "Profiles" menu :

 

Finally save the connection.

 

Now revert back to your initial tab and go to settings>Machine Translation Engine

 

Step 6 : Test the connection and create a new job

Next click on Select MT engine, you should be able to select SYSTRAN MT engines now

Click on 'Use Selected MT engine' and Click on 'Save' to save the settings of your project.

Now you can perform translation Jobs with SYSTRAN PNMT engines by click on New Job.
