Prerequesites
- Get Client Apps install software package
- Recommanded: have Windows administrator rights.
1. Install SYSTRAN Client Applications 8
Double click on the icon of the setup program as an administrator user and follow the instructions.
For non admin users:
Your administrator must right click on the installer and select Run as administrator:
Select which components should be installed
Click on the Finish button. SYSTRAN Options will be launched.
Once installed, you will find the software in the Windows start menu, and potentially on your Windows Desktop if you selected the option during the installation process:
2. SYSTRAN Client Applications 8 Configuration
Check if API endpoint is https or https
From a browser type
http://SERVER:8903/status
or
https://SERVER:8904/status
The output should look like:

To configure Client Application, you will need:
- the API endpoint: http://SERVER:8903 or https://SERVER:8904 [Choose the endpoint which is active based on the creteria above]
- an API key available from: /https://SERVER/user
Log in and navigate to Personal info
Scroll down to locate the API key
Open Client Application option from Windows Start menu or from Windows Tray icon:
Fill in the URL and Key and add a name:
Click on the refresh button 
You should see the message “Working (X language pairs found)” when your server is well configured.
Once done, click on "Default" to choose this as a default server.
